Koguryo Martial Arts
We are the only school that I know of
in the United States that sends it's future School Owners to train in Korea.
We started this program through the pioneering efforts of Master Jared
Circle. This program would not be possible without the amazing generosity of
our Grand Masters.. Grand Master Lee and Grand Master Jung have opened
their doors to us, in the hope of preserving their Martial knowledge to
future generations in the United States of America. This is a relationship
we appreciate and wish to honor, because many schools simply do not have
this type of opportunity.
All of the Leadership (School Owners) in Koguryo Martial
Arts must be trained through this program. We feel it is essential for
school owners to have trained in the country that their art originated, in
order to preserve it's authenticity. More importantly than that is the
opportunity to train with high level Masters such as Grand Master Jung and
Grand Master Lee. In today's world it is very hard to find an authentic high
level Master anywhere. We as a school are very blessed to have found
two such individuals. We feel this is one of the major reasons our schools
stand out from the majority of martial arts schools today.
The only
prerequisite for this program is approval from your current Instructor or
Master and acceptance by our Korean Leadership. There is never a point
in a students progression of training where this type of opportunity would
be untimely. The value of this type of experience would be evident to
a person at any stage of his or her martial arts development.
It is a dream come
true for a person who has trained to be the best and wish to be a world
class martial artist. Finally the ability to grow even more and reach the
pinnacle of excellence. Not to say that this is the end of a persons
training or the best that they will be, but it is a huge change in the
person. I can attest to this phenomenon and so can Master Circle, Master
Keen, students and family. It is an amazing transformation that changes a
person's life forever. Like the caterpillar changes into the butterfly. I have
never seen this type of extreme change in martial artists that have trained
in America only.
